They published my letter today, this is what I wrote:
I am writing this letter to let others know that there are still kind people in this world who will go out of their way to help to a stranger.
On Friday, July 9th, I was shopping in Fashion Bug; while I was trying on some clothes, someone backing out of the parking lot hit my car, did a good amount of damage to it, and just drove off. I would not have known what happened, but a kind gentleman witnessed it; and he followed the truck long enough to get a picture of the plate for me, then came back to the store to find the owner of the car, which was me.
This kind man's name is Kirk, and because of him, I had the proof I needed that the damage done to my car was not my fault, and the insurance will cover all the repairs. As upset as I was about the damage to the car, I was far more impressed with the fact that a stranger would go out of their way to help someone they don't know. It helped to restore my faith in humanity that there are many good people in this world.
So thank you Kirk, what you did for me was very much appreciated and I will never forget it; and I will pay if forward one day by helping out someone else when the opportunity presents itself.
