Wowzers. . .I got a free ruffled "Pink" panty offer from V.S. and I got an ABSOLUTE SURPRISE VTech "Mobigo for ages 4 - 8" in the mail from Modern Mom.
This was such a surprise and a timely gift, because my DIL has been asking me to get the granddaughter a pretend laptop for her birthday this month! What a bonus this was!! It isn't as big as the laptop thingies I've been pricing and looking at, but it fills the bill and seems to do as much (or more) than the ones I have been looking at. . . .I'd look up the net addy, but I've gotta go to the store. THinking about this "prize" sneaking up on me when I'm kinda down in the dumps about having the cash to provide a requested gift sorta renews my belief in the universe returning what you put out there.
. . .
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
Thank you, Lord. . .I'm strivin', I'm strivin'. . .!
