I was told by our exterminator that the only thing that will work to keep mice out is to plug any hole with steel wool. They will get through anything else and the wool hurts their feet so they won't dig.
so far so good for this year. I hate those pesky things.
My neighbor swears that putting peanut butter around a childs pail that is filled with water will attract the mouse and drown him. I haven't tried that one yet. I don't like too see dead things.....wave
Well, I can say from experience that peanut butter works great on any sort of trap. I don't like killing them either. Once we caught one in a small trash can that was in the backyard and the kids and I took it to a field down the street and let it go.
and I haven't seen the cat all day since we placed the traps..
The dang thing is in my kitchen too...
guess I will have to go on the hunt for the cat instead..

i'm glad to hear that your mouse problem is gone. last year around this time i was sitting here at the puter. i swore i heard something so i turned to look and all i saw was little beady eyes staring at me. i set up some snap traps all over the basement and no lie when i say within a couple months we caught about 17 mice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! !!!!!
