Trouble with links
If you come across a link that is broken or leads to the wrong product or store, please let me know!|
If you are having trouble getting links to work, there may be a program on your computer that is interfering with the links on my site. If you cannot see the links on my site or if you click on a link and the page will not display, please try this.
Norton Internet Security Users:
Open Norton, turn off or disable "Ad Blocking" feature.
Trend Micro PC-Cillin Users:
Open Trend Micro, click on Antiphishing & Content Protection, click Website Filter, click Manage Exception List, click Add. Add the following urls, one at a time, to your exception list.
MyBargainBuddy.com does not use pop-up ads. However, for your convenience, links to pages that are not on my website are set to open in a new window. Some pop-up blocking programs consider these links to be an actual pop-up and will prevent the link from working or being visible. You may want to try turning off your pop-up blocking software while you are on my website.
Spybot S&D and Other Spyware Program Users:
On the Internet Explorer browser window toolbar, click on "tools", "internet options", "privacy", then "sites" or "web sites". Here you should see a list of "managed sites". If you see clickserve.cc-dt.com, click.linksynergy.com, service.bfast.com, qksrv.net, oz.valueclick, offersquest, and/or a.websponsors, click on them, one at a time, then click the button to "remove" them from the blocked list.
Web Root Spy Sweeper Users:
Turn off or disable "Common Ad sites Shield". Click on "Shields", "Hosts File", and uncheck "Common Ad Sites Shield."
Kazaa Lite Users:
open 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer' then navigate to the following
directory and filename:
Windows 95/98/ME: c: \windows\hosts
Windows XP Home/Pro: c: \windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows NT or 2000: c: \winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Highlight the file, hit F2 to change its name from Hosts to Hosts.bak, then
try the links again. Alternately your can open the Hosts file with a text
editor like Notepad. You can open the HOSTS file by right-clicking on hosts
and selecting "open with". Then select Notepad.
Ensure the following lines are not present in the file by removing the
entire line if present:
Popup ads do not originate from any of these servers. These are gateways to major
online stores to enable all discounts to load. If you want to stop popups, a popup blocking program works better than playing with this file. Hence, I recommend the hosts file to remain "virgin" (unless, of course you networking needs for it).
A virgin hosts file contains this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
# For example:
# 126.96.36.199 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 188.8.131.52 x.acme.com # x client host
