Last year, when my daughter began driving, I shopped around quite a bit for auto insurance. No one could beat the rate I was offered by my current insurance company, so I didn’t end up switching.

One of the companies I requested a quote from was Geico. Since that fateful day, I have been getting solicitations from them in the mail on a monthly basis. Fed up with this waste of paper, I opened their latest letter and found a way to opt out of future mailings online. Anyone interested can reach their opt out page here.

If you get unwanted junk mail, check the back of the letter for tiny print at the bottom. There may just be a way to stop it! If you really want to get serious about stopping solicitations, visit the FTC's Consumer Alert website.

Have a great day,
