    the flip camera actually comes out to $32.93 in NY. perhaps you don’t have to pay tax. still seems like a good deal, although i “googled” it and it’s about that price everywhere. I can’t seem to find any reviews on it, but i’m wondering if it’s this inexpensive everywhere, it might be crap. any idea?

    I bought this camera last fall, for $180 for a vacation. It is super easy to use! It comes with a rechargeable battery pack of AA size, so you can use any alkaline ones in an emergency. Get a silicon skin for it, to make it easier to hold on to. It aslso comes woth FLIP software to download your videos, email them, or upload to YouTube, Twitter, etc. Thius is not a serious video camera, but good enough for casual use and you won’t cry if you lose it.

    How can this be advertised as a “Flip” video camera? Flip is the brand name and it is NOT a Flip.

    Great little camera. My parents got me one for Christmas thru HSN. Mine came with a tripod and a protective sleeve. Works great for grabbing a quick video of the kids being silly, out in the rain, sledding down a hill etc… So easy to use even my 7yr old figured it out. Going to get one for my FIL who had a stroke a few years back.

    I would like to comment on some of these comments and the camera. It does not come with a rechargeable battery pack, AC adaptor. The only way to power it is with throw away batteries. The battery cover comes loose easily, you have to buy a memory card to use it and the resolution is poor. Not a bargain.
